Job Title: POLICE OFFICER
(Full-Time)
Position Open: April 20, 2018
Position Closes: May 11, 2018
The City of Perkins is currently accepting applications for two (2) Full-Time Police Officers. Candidates should meet Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement Standards. Candidates must be 21 years of age at the time of CLEET Certification, be a US citizen, and possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and high school diploma or GED. Candidate must pass psychological testing, a drug test, and a thorough background investigation. Candidate should possess good moral character and a strong desire to serve the citizens of Perkins. Candidate shall have no Felony, Domestic Violence, Serious Misdemeanor, or Crimes involving Moral Turpitude convictions.

Officers generally work 10-hour shifts and are issued a take-home vehicle at the completion of the probationary period. The City of Perkins furnishes all officers’ equipment, with the exception of boots. Officers receive paid vacation and paid holiday leave each year. The City of Perkins also gives officers $700.00 a year clothing allowance. The City of Perkins Police Officers are members of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 142. The City of Perkins Police Officers enjoy excellent benefits including heath, dental, vision and retirement (Police Pension) with optional life insurance, and disability.

JOB TITLE: CMAs and CNAs with MAT

Nurse aides need to be able to work with elderly and be good team players to provide direct care to residents, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with facility policies and procedures and report resident needs and concerns to a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities answering call lights, dressing, bathing, cleaning, helping with activities, assisting with residents. Must respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Perform other duties assigned.

CMA or CNA with MAT: All CNA responsibilities as above. Follow facility policies and procedures to implement medication orders; to administer medications in an accurate and timely manner.

Must be committed to person-centered care by demonstrating and being supportive of individual resident choice and controlled resident-preferred routines in all aspect of daily living.

Requirements

  • State registered/nursing assistant, who has successfully completed the State certification course for medication assistants.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Drivers License, Meet Motor Vehicle record requirements, determined by Liability Carrier
  • Meet all health requirements imposed by law
  • Completion of a nursing assistant certification program or proof of valid and current certification
