The animal control department's responsibility is to enforce the animal related codes of the City of Perkins. This department is run by one full-time Animal Control Officer and one part-time Animal Control Officer. The Animal Control Department works closely with the Chief of Police. The City of Perkins requires that all dogs within the city limits be registered. This helps keep stray dogs off the streets and helps reunite lost dogs with their owners. To register your dog, bring a current rabies certificate from your vet to City Hall. Registrations fees are $8.00 for spayed/neutered dogs and $10.00 or intact dogs. | Dogs Currently In The Shelter |
The Perkins Animal Shelter always has dogs available for adoption. Adoption fees start at $35.00. Dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations before leaving our facility. If you would like to inquire about adopting or fostering a dog, please call (405) 547-2445 and leave a message for Katharine Wall or email her at animalcontrol@cityofperkins.net. | Dogs Currently Lost / Missing |
We occasionally get calls about missing pets. If you have lost your pet, or have found a pet, please call (405) 547-2445 and leave a message with a detailed description of the animal. The City of Perkins does not currently have the ability to house cats in its shelter. |
