Animal Control

For emergencies, such as an animal bite, please call Perkins PD at 405-547-2855 or dial 911.

Perkins Animal Control is staffed by a part-time Animal Welfare Supervisor. Animal Control works closely with the Chief of Police and any citations are issued by the Perkins Police Department.

The Perkins Animal Shelter is the municipal animal control facility for the City of Perkins. We have a small, partially-enclosed kennel building with 10 permanent runs and 2 small, temporary/medical runs. Our primary mission is to enforce animal-related codes within the City Limits of Perkins, Oklahoma. This includes housing stray and unwanted dogs.

At this time, there is no facility for cats.

We are not a no-kill facility, but we pride ourselves in working with many non-profit rescues as well as foster homes to help give each of our animals the best chance possible at finding an adoptive family.

Feral or Unowned Cats

The Perkins Animal Shelter does not have a cat facility.  Operation Catnip Stillwater provides free Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) services for feral and unowned cats in Stillwater and surrounding communities. For more information regarding TNR and its benefits, visit the Operation Catnip Stillwater website.
