City Wide Clean-Up Day
August 8, 2020
8:00 am-3:00 pm

The City of Perkins in conjunction with Davis Sanitation is pleased to provide our citizens with this free service.
Following are the guidelines to help you get the most out of Clean-Up Day.

Curbside items must be out by 6:00 am to guarantee pickup
Construction or demolition debris will not be accepted

The following items will be picked up curbside:
Please bag, box, or bundle all curbside items, including brush.
Large piles of loose debris will not be picked up.
•    Brush-no longer than 4 feet in length and 2 inches in diameter, no more than 50 lbs.
•    Furniture that can be easily crushed
•    Mattresses up to full size
•    Miscellaneous household trash

The following items need to be taken to the dumpsters on Industrial Road:
•    Metal or wood longer than 4 feet in length or bigger than 2 inches in diameter
 
•    Railroad ties
•    Mattresses larger than full size

•    Heavy furniture, including sofa beds
•    Scrap metal
•    Appliances
o    Freezers, refrigerators, and air conditioning units must have freon removed and be tagged prior to disposal.  Country Comfort will provide this service free of charge from August 3rd – 7th.  (See details below)

Brush Disposal Area (behind Dickson Park ball fields)
•    Large amounts of brush and yard debris

We cannot accept:
•    Hazardous waste, including, but not limited to:
 
o    Paint
o    Herbicides
o    Fertilizers
o    Batteries of any type
o    Petroleum products
o    Tires

City Staff will be monitoring the unloading and exchanging of dumpsters; however, residents will be responsible for the unloading of all items into the dumpsters.

Freezers, refrigerators, and air conditioning units will be accepted from
August 3rd – 7th at Country Comfort located at 122 E. Thomas.
Please place all items on the concrete pad in front of the garage door.

FREE document shredding will be offered by Payne County Bank from 8:30 am-10:30 am.
