[ARCHIVED] Perkins Drainage Improvements Coming Soon!

ODOT crews are working to install a drainage pipe that will run from the north side of Perkins to the Cimarron River. This pipe will run under West First Street which will be closed a section at a time during construction.

ODOT crews are working to install a drainage pipe that will run from the north side of Perkins to the Cimarron River. This pipe will run under West First Street which will be closed a section at a time during construction. Each section will be closed for about 3-4 days at a time. Crews have started work at the south end of town and are making their way north. Beginning Monday, we expect W. First Street to be closed from W. Knipe to W. Stumbo. Due to this construction, First Street residents will be able to access their homes through the alley ways. These alleys have been improved with widening, grading, and gravel. Trash services will also run in the alleys in areas where First Street is closed. Please make sure to place your polycart in the alley no later than 6:00 am on Monday morning to ensure pickup. We appreciate your patience in this matter. If you have any questions, please call City Hall at (405) 547-2445.
