The City of Perkins is accepting applications for a Part-time Recreation Director in the Park & Recreation Department. Qualified applicants must be willing to work early mornings, days, weekends, evenings and holidays (approximately 25 hours per week)
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: overseeing the recreation activities for the City of Perkins, specifically, the sports programs, mowing, weed eating, picking up litter, cleaning of facilities, maintaining equipment and supply inventory, preparing facilities and fields for games, and general repair and maintenance projects.
Recreation program duties include creating schedules, producing sign-up materials, creating team rosters, working closely with the Park & Recreation Board, and hiring and supervising game officials. Currently, the City offers Flag Football (Pre-K–3rd grade), Basketball Fun (Pre-K–2nd grade), Traveling Basketball League participation (3rd-6th grades), Soccer (Pre-K–3rd grade), T-Ball (Pre-K–K), Coach Pitch (1st–3rd grades), Softball (8u–12u) and Traveling Baseball League participation (8u–12u).
